Heaven Sent

Hi, it's Misti, with a card for this week's challenge!

I needed a baby girl card for a friend who just had a girl this week.

I started out with the Fleur De Lis Squares from Spellbinders, with the solid pink paper from the Botanical Tea by Graphic 45 paper pad.  I also pulled out the stripe and the polka dot.  I love it when one paper pad has several  coordinating papers!

I took the sentiment from the Baby Rub-On sentiment set by My Sentiments Exactly! It fits perfectly on the
Fleur De Lis Squares die cut. I added some Baby White Pearls to the corners.

I cut the pieces of designer paper and backed them with white cardstock.  Added a piece of Eggshell Seam Binding across the front of the card.

To the pink sentiment piece, I added some pieces of Small Joy Foam Pads to the corner to pop it up a little.

I hope you'll join us for this week's challenge!

What a sweet card for a newborn baby! Thanks Misti!

Friendship

Hello crafty friends! Karen here, and wanted to say thanks so much for having me as a Guest Designer this summer at the Classy Cards 'n Such blog.   Here is a sweet little card I made using more of the amazing supplies found at Classy Cards 'n Such.

The patterned papers I used are from a 6x6 Webster's Pages Paper Pack called the Spring Market, Country Estate Collection.  These gorgeous papers are two-sided and are super versatile.  I machine stitched the two papers together, and then cut a journaling spot out of cream cardstock using a Spellbinders Labels Eighteen die cut.

The sentiment I used is a My Sentiments Exactly rub-on from the Friends Rubz Collection.

Near the bottom of the card, you will see a row of trims including Irridescent White Flowers which runs right along side the Chalk White Seam Binding.

I ran the seam binding through a lovely Circle Ribbon Slide for that extra touch of sparkle!  These ribbon slides are such an elegant touch for your cards and layouts.

There are so many great products in the Classy Cards 'n Such store for you to see, and I hope you enjoy browsing.

Have a blessed week.

A very pretty card! Thanks Karen!!

Don't Throw Out Your Scraps!!

Hi everyone!  It's Karen posting today. One tip I'd like to share with you all is "Don't Throw Out Your Scraps"!!  By saving the little pieces left over from making cards and projects, you can create all sorts of things.  I made this card using little end pieces and left-overs from several of the cards I've made recently.

The base patterned paper is from the Webster's Pages Spring Market Collection.  All the other little pieces are from this same collection and the Simple Stories Summer Fresh Paper Pad.  I pieced them all together and machine stitched them to the base.  Each piece is inked with the Tim Holtz Distress Inks in either Barn Door Red or Bundled Sage.

The sentiment I used is a rub-on from the My Sentiments Exactly Friends Set.  I tied some baker's twine into a few coordinating buttons, and adhered them to my card using 1/8" Scor-Tape which works perfectly for safely securing embellishments.  I stapled a small piece of the Natural Trim to the side of the card, and also sewed down a piece of the darling Trendy Tape in Polka Dot Red.

I hope you'll take some time today to check out all the darling supplies available at Classy Cards 'n Such.  Have a great day!

Good morning, Steph here again and I've got babies on the brain today.  My niece is having a baby soon and I knew this little Baby Carriage die from Memory Box would be perfect for a baby card.

I started by creating a 5 1/2" square card from Burgundy Linen Cardstock.  This is a wonderful quality cardstock that is perfect for a card base.   You know I love the papers in the Love Letters Paper Pad and I had just the right papers left.  This paper pad has allowed me to create a lot of different cards.   Using three different sheets of pattern paper, I created the layers for the card.  Then I used Augusta Green Linen to cut the baby carriage.  Love the details of this die.

Before assembling the card, I wrapped ribbon around it and tied some Doodle Twine around it.  I mounted the baby carriage on two layers of Spellbinders Nested Oval Medallion Dies.  A little brown ink between the layers allows the two dies to stand out.  Joy Foam Adhesives behind the dies created a three dimensional effect.

The sentiment is a rub-on from My Sentiments Exactly.  It's actually from the Graduation pack, but I thought it was quite appropriate for this card.  I placed the sentiment on the card with a double layer of Joy Foam Adhesives as I needed it to stand apart from the card.

Fall Birthday card and FREE SHIPPING

Hi Classy folks!  It's Holly posting today and I'm sharing a birthday card that I made for a special someone.  I wanted this card to be classy and elegant and still reflect the gorgeous colors of this fall season.  Here are the supplies from Classy Cards 'n Such that I used:

Birthday stamp set - My Sentiments Exactly!
Floral Ovals dies - Spellbinders
Light Coral pearls - Want2Scrap
Francesca border die - Cheery Lynn Designs

I started by adhering one of the gorgeous floral papers from the Romantique paper pad to a brown card base and I added a Francesca die cut border (in dark rust cardstock) to the top of the card.  The little flag tail strip on the side is hand cut from another sheet of paper from the Romantique paper pad.  I tied the seam binding around the top and affixed two of the pearls to the bottom right corner.  I stamped the sentiment onto one of the cream-colored papers from the Romantique paper pad and cut it out with an oval die.  This was adhered to a larger oval die cut from a dark rust cardstock and then that was adhered to a brown Floral Oval die cut.

I've already sent this to the birthday girl so she would have it before I posted this.  Hopefully she will enjoy this card as much as I enjoyed making it for her.  :-)  Happy Birthday, sweetie!!

Thanks for the beautiful card, Holly!!!

Sunflowers on a Birthday Card!

Hi, it's Holly posting today.  Have you played in the latest challenge yet?  Making handmade flowers is so easy when you have flower dies from Classy Cards 'n Such!
I made a Folded Pocket Card (tutorial from Technique Junkies) and I stamped the Vines Cover-a-Card background on the green layer on the bottom.  I die cut some Sunflowers from mustard cardstock and layered two sunflowers together to make them fuller.  The centers of the sunflowers were cut from chocolate cardstock, and I die cut the Stackers Flower #1 Leaf from artichoke cardstock to layer behind the sunflowers.  Don't those just bring a smile to your face?
For the inside of this pocket, I used the negative part of the sunflower die cut and sponged some mustard ink directly onto the tag.  That's a great way to use the "throw-away" parts of your die cuts.  I then stamped the sentiment from the Birthday stamp set over the sponged sunflower.  This tag goes inside the pocket.
Pull out your flower dies and flower punches and have fun putting some flowers together.  Try mixing and matching your pieces to see what you come up with!  :-)

So cute and easy!   Thanks, Holly!!

A Sunflower Birthday!!!

Hi again!  It's me, Holly, posting today, and I'm sharing this warm sunflower card that I created for the latest challenge on this Classy Cards 'n Such blog.  Have you played in this challenge yet?  This is probably the easiest challenge ever!  Simply use an outline sticker and share it with us for a chance to win a gift certificate to go shopping!

Outline stickers are quick and easy ways to embellish your cards and projects.  Simply peel the sticker, affix it to your cardstock, color it in if desired, and ta da!  Done!

For my card, I peeled three of the Sunflowers (Gold) stickers and affixed them to white cardstock.  I colored them with Distress Ink Markers and set them aside while I created my card base.  (You can also buy the markers individually.  The marker colors I used are - Wild Honey, Rusty Hinge, Peeled Paint, Forest Moss, and Vintage Photo.)  I created a warm honey and rust colored background by using the Water Color Distress technique from Technique Junkies and adhered that to my dark brown card base.  A strip of dark brown cardstock was adhered to the middle of my card and I stamped the birthday sentiment (from the Birthday stamp set) at the bottom of the honey paper with dark brown ink.  I cut out each of the three colored sunflower stickers with an oval die and adhered each one to the dark brown cardstock strip.

This card will be perfect for sending to someone in the mail.  It's nice and flat so it only needs one first class stamp, and the sunflowers will make the birthday girl smile when she sees this card!

Such a cute card, Holly!   Be sure to enter our current challenge here!   Outline stickers are so easy and fun to work with!!

Beverly's Pennant Card with Gorgeous Cluny Lace!!!

Good morning!!  Here's the card I created for our lace challenge.   I started with a plain vanilla card base.  The top mat is cut from this gorgeous red paper from the Happy Travels pad and layered atop another, slightly larger mat from Esse Smooth Pearlized Cocoa.   I love the pearlized paper!   Such a subtle sheen and so elegant!!

I cut a triangle from the cocoa paper and added the birthday sentiment from the Birthday Rubz.  It is sooo easy to apply the Rubz...especially since I used a stylus from the McGill Paper Blossoms Tool Kit.  If you would like to see more detailed instructions on applying the Rubz, click here.  These are great sentiments and it's VERY hard to see that it's not a stamp!  Very high quality!!

Before adhering the birthday pennant, I adhered the border of Ivory Cluny Lace.  I'm like Holly...this lace is just jaw-dropping!

The corners are cut from the cocoa cardstock using one of the corners from the Lace Corner Deco A set.  I adhered it using a Quickie Glue Pen.   Just put the glue in several spots on the back and hold with your finger for a few seconds to adhere.   No muss, no fuss!

I added LeCreme Pearls to the Lace Deco corners, opposite corners and the pennant.  The card front is framed with gold lines from the Gold Lines outline stickers.

Join us in our latest challenge - LACE!!!  It's a fun and easy one to do!!  All of the details are here.

Our First Anniversary Blowout Sale is going on now!!!  Great deals through Friday, June 1, but ever GREATER deals for this Memorial holiday weekend!!!  Order by midnight, Monday, May 28th and get FREE SHIPPING on any order plus you will be entered in a drawing for a $25 Gift Certificate to the Classy Cards shop!!!  Full details are here.
