Shimmery Reindeer

Hello everyone! It is Shirley posting today, with a card for our deer inspired Christmas card. I love Christmas cards with gold and silver, so those are the colors I used on my card for today.

I started with my white card base. I added a silver layer and a gold embossed layer of card stock.

I cut the main decorative image using Marianne's Anja's Large Oval. I stamped the "Tis The Season" sentiment from the Flourishes Holiday Topiaries stamp set with Versamark. I then embossed it with Gold Detail embossing powder. 

Next I used silver foil paper from the Foil Paper - Textured Patterns 1, to cut out the deer, using the Memory Box Leaping Deer die. I also cut a second deer using chipboard to make the deer more stable. I tied a piece of gold cord around the neck of the deer. I used Joy Small Foam Pads to pop the deer up on the beautiful die cut.

Last but not least, I cut four snowflakes to go in all four corners with the Impression Obsession Small Snowflake die set.

Hello, My Friend!

It is Shirley posting today. I have a pink and black card to show you! Pink and black is definitely a favorite color combination of mine.

I started with a white card base. A pink layer was cut using the Spellbinders Divine Eloquence die.

The next pink and black layers, were cut with a die from my stash. I used the Dots embossing folder to give them some texture. The Spellbinder Floral Ovals die was used to cut the white oval.

I used the Memory Box Prim Poppy die, to cut the poppies out of black card stock. I also cut some of the poppies out of pink card stock to layer over the black ones.

The sentiment is from the Our Daily Bread Designs stamp set called Ornate Frame Sentiments. The die I used to cut it out is the Spellbinders Fancy Label Tags One.

The card pieces were attached to the card using Art Institute Dries Clear Adhesive. 

The finishing touch to my card was adding White Pearls.

Cherry Blossoms

I have seen many beautiful pictures of the cherry blossom trees blooming, and hope to see them in person someday.

It's Mindy with you today, sharing a card with these beautiful blossoms.  I hope you like it, and are inspired by it's beauty.

There are so many dies and stamps in the Classy Cards 'n Such online store, I'm sure you will find many to add to your collection.

I started with the Cherry Blossoms die cut set from Spellbinders and cut the largest flower die from pink paper ribbon. This is a twisted paper that forms a cording, but can be unfurled then die cut. I like it because it is textured and thin, but many card stock brands will work as well. I have even used paper coffee filters before.

I embossed a sheet of yellow card stock with the Dazzling Sunburst embossing folder by Ecstasy Crafts, and mounted it behind a die cut circle cut in my card front.

I assembled the branch and flowers with Art Institute Dries Clear Adhesive then attached it to the circle edge and spread it across the opening.

After attaching a cute butterfly near the flowers, I die cut a tag from the A2 Filigree Delight Set also from Spellbinders. I shaded the tag and added the phrase from Just the Right Words , by Becca Feeken for JustRite Stamps.  The tag was adhered using foam tape below the opening to complete the card.
