Hello Mum

Hi, it's Jenny here with a card I made using the new PoppyStamps Delicate Mum die.

This is one of my favorite dies from the latest PoppyStamps release. I cut two stems out of a white piece of card stock. I cut the top layer of card stock smaller than the A2 card to a 5 1/4" x 4" size leaving a 1/4" border all around.

I colored the die cuts with distress ink, and then glued them back into the negative space. I cut another two mums, colored them with lighter distress ink and curled up the edges of the flower petals, before gluing the stems and center of the flower onto the first set of flowers.

Here's a close up.  I then added some dimensional white paint, Sequins, and glued Pink Baby Pearls to the flower centers.  Last I added the word Hello from the Impression Obsession Greeting Set.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you can join in this week's challenge for a chance to win a great prize!

Bee Friends

Hi, it's Jenny posting today with a new card I made using the new Memory Box Open Studio Busy as a Bee die.  These Open Studio dies coordinate so nicely and to keep it clean and simple I didn't use other dies.

I first cut the honeycomb strip out of white card stock.  I colored the honeycomb black with Black Soot Distress Ink.  While the honeycomb was drying, I cut the little swirl design out of the card stock. I added a piece of yellow paper behind the white and then glued the honeycomb back into the negative space.

The bee was cut twice, once out of black paper and once out of yellow.  The yellow bee body was brushed with Twinkling H20's for a little shimmer.  I assembled and glued the bee together and then added Joy Foam Pads to adhere him to the paper.

The sentiment is from the Justrite Vintage Labels Two stamp set.  After stamping the friends sentiment, I layered the main panel onto black card stock and then onto an A2 card.

For a little added bling, I glued three black rhinestones to the top corner and also glued tiny yellow rhinestones to the bee's antennae.

Merry Christmas

Hi, Joy here today.  This week's challenge at Classy Cards 'n Such is to use Christmas Die Cuts.  I'd like to show how you can make your die cuts as little ornaments.   Let's get started.  Here is my card.

First from white card stock die cut 4 of the medium ornaments from the Spellbinders die set called 2012 Heirloom Ornaments -- which is on SALE!  If you use the coupon code Joy-10, you will get an additional 10% off -- now that's a deal!

Now cut 8 of the smaller ornament out of white card stock. Stamp 1 of the medium die cut ornaments with the medium stamp, and 2 of the smaller ornaments from the JustRite set called Noel Christmas Ornaments, and color with your favorite markers. I used Copics.

Using a small drop of Art Institute Adhesive, and spreading with a paint brush, glue 4  die cuts to each other ending with the stamped one on top. You will then have a thick, but not heavy paper ornament.  Coat the top colored ornament with an even thin even layer of the Art Institute Adhesive, and Sparkle 'n Sprinkle Crystal Ice Ultra Fine Glitter.  Some gold twine was attached, and then the ornaments were put on some of the paper from  Authentiques's Tradition Christmas paper. I put the year on the back of the ornament.

Why not join the challenge at Classy Cards 'n Such.  You could get a jump on your Christmas cards and maybe win that nice prize!  Go to the Classy Cards 'n Such blog and look at the details.

Our House To Yours

Hello, Stamping Friends! It is Shirley posting today. Time is sure flying and not only will the snow be upon us soon, so will Christmas. Luckily the challenge this week is to make a Christmas card with Christmas dies. Now I have one more Christmas card to add to my stash.

I started off with the white card base, I cut a piece of red glitter paper to layer on top of it. I used white card stock to layer over the glitter paper.

I used adhesive to adhere these layers to the card stock. I used a scrap piece of white card stock and used the Memory Box Frostyville Border, to make the snowflake border for the top of the  card. I used glue to adhere it to the card. I put glue over the snow flakes and added Crystal Ice glitter. I love how it sparkles!

Next I took silver paper and used the Poppy Stamps Village Lamp Post die to cut the lamp post. I cut the glass for the lamps from light blue glitter paper to give the lamps a frosty look.

I decided the lamp post needed to be decorated for Christmas. I used a branch punch and green paper to make the greenery. I used the Memory Box Precious Mittens die to  cut the bow from red glitter paper.  I saved the mittens to use on another project.

I used Glue Dots to adhere the lamp post and the greenery, with the ribbon, to the card.

For the finishing touch, I used a stamp from my collection and red ink to stamp the sentiment.

Be sure to join us for the challenge this week and you will have another Christmas card for your stash. We have a Christmas inspiration picture for you and the challenge is to use Christmas dies.

Thank you for visiting to take a peek at  my card. Tune in tomorrow for another great Christmas card!

Girly Gingham

Good morning! It's Jenny posting today! For the Gingham challenge this week, all I could think of were baby cards (especially baby girl cards, as it seems everyone around me is having girls this summer).  Unfortunately, when I actually need a card, is when I find I have the most trouble making one.  After a bit of procrastination, this ended up being a quick and fun card to make.

I began by cutting the Memory Box Precious Mobile die three times with white, pink and yellow card stock. The white mobile was used as the base, and then I cut out pieces of the pink and yellow, and layered them on top to add dimension.  I could have colored them with Copics as I did with the strings, but I like how the dangling hearts and stars match the other paper.

I used two different sizes of the Spellbinders Floral Ovals die, and popped up each of the two Floral layers using Joy! Foam Pads.  The Spellbinders Floral Oval made the perfect lacy backdrop for a girl card. The yellow gingham oval was cut using the central oval from the Spellbinders Filigree Delight die.

To add a bit of glitz, I glued rhinestones using Art Institute's glue with Ultra-fine tip to some of the hearts and stars on the mobile. This tip is perfect for small areas.

I hope you decide to join us for our Gingham challenge this week!

In My Garden

Hello, it's Debbie today!

I love this weeks Garden Party challenge. I tend to get a little carried away in the spring, filling in blank spaces in the  gardens that surround my home. With that in mind, you'll see I did get carried away with my card for this week.

For my cards, I use a 110# cardstock. It is quite sturdy and holds up well when adding multiple layers. All the flowers were shaped by using a stylus from the Susan's Garden Tool Kit. I used two adhesives, one being the Art Institute Dries Clear Adhesive and the other used are the large Joy! Foam Pads. The foam pads were used under the front set of grass and under the die cut sentiment.

I started out with white cardstock for the Victorian Picket Fence by Cheery Lynn Designs. I wanted a shorter height to the fence, so I cut the lower cross section off.

The Tiny Tulips from Memory Box are so cute. I used various colors of cardstock so I could plant a tulip in front of each post along the fence.

I used two dies by Impression Obsession for the grasses in front of the Victorian Picket Fence. The layer in the front is the Small Grass Border. The next layer inside, is the Grass Border.

I die cut small flowers from the Flower Mound by Memory Box, in the same colors as the tulips. The flowers were adhered to the inner layer of grass.

To add some height to my garden scene, I used the Hollyhocks die cut set by Impression Obsession. I shaped them with a stylus, to make them seem crinkled. For the center of the flowers, I added pearls that I had in my supplies. You can get all different colors and sizes of pearls here in the Classy Cards 'n Such.

The sentiment and stamped circle image are both from the Hugs and Kisses Sentiments stamp set by JustRite. This set has so many neat sentiments and flourishes, it's just perfect. An added bonus is the stamped circle fits perfectly using the inner ring circle die from the Joy! Crafts Butterfly Circle, and the butterflies are also from this set.

I used the Hydrangea Set from Impression Obsessions for the small yellow flowers that surround my stamped sentiment. I used a 5/8" circle punch, and glued both sizes of the flowers to the circle, to make it look nice and full.

The greenery around the circle was created using the Leafy Sprig Border by Poppystamps. I cut sections apart and randomly adhered around the sentiment circle.

I enjoyed making this card and thank you for letting me share my Garden Party challenge with you. I invite all our readers and fans to join our challenges. Bring your friends! You could be our next weekly challenge winner!
