Tea Time

Hello, Diane with you today!

I have a pretty card to share that would be good for a tea loving friend.

I started with a pretty piece of somewhat vintage looking Rose paper from the Joy! 6" x 6" Romance paper pad for one side, and a piece of cream card stock embossed using Anna Griffin Matelasse embossing folder for the other side. A scrap of green ribbon was adhered down between the two.

I know they are not even pieces, but I purposely intended that, as I wanted to show more of the pretty designer paper.

The embossed oval is Sue Wilson Kefalonia from the Greek Island Collection.

I cut two sets of the PoppyStamps Teapot Stack, one for the outline and one to fill in the negative space of the teapots.

I added dots around the teapots, and colored the edge, as well of the oval using Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen.

I adhered a pretty pink sheer bow which I then added Pink Mini Rose Buds. Under each Rose I added tiny little leaves from Impression Obsession Leaf Cluster.

To finish Le Creme Pearls were added.

Thank you for visiting with me today!

Ho Ho Sparkle

Good morning to you, Diane with you today on the blog.

I don't know about you, but it seems the holidays are certainly creeping up on us! From Thanksgiving on, I am super busy, and like to get my Christmas cards made way in advance if I can!

One of my newest dies purchased from the Classy Cards 'n Such online store, is one of the new Memory Box Distressed dies. This one is called Distressed Snowdrift Collage. Look at all the pretty and intricate details. A tiny White Pearl was added to each full snowflake.

I stamped an image from Stampavie called Tobi's Dearest Deer, and colored it with my Tim Holtz Distressed Water Color Markers. A bit of Diamond Stickles was added to the image.

Once dry, I popped the image up using Joy! Large Foam Pads. To finish, I added a Ribbon, a tag tied with Doodle Twine from the Sweet Cakes Valentine Assortment, and a snowflake button that I topped with Silver Rock Candy.

Thank you for visiting with me today!

Faux Fall Leaves

Hi, it is Shirley, posting today. I have made a card for the "Colors of Fall" challenge this week. Fall is definitely here, but the leaves are not turning yet, maybe in a three weeks. I am enjoying the nice fall weather. It is so nice to be outside this time of year.

I started with a white card base. The next layer was cut using the Mandarin Curious Metallic paper. I layered it with white card stock, that I embossed with the Anna Griffin Matelasse embossing folder.

I used glossy card stock and the PoppyStamps Fluffy Feather die to cut the three feathers. I used various inks to achieve the colors of fall. I swiped the colors across the glossy feathers. I chose this technique because once it was done, the feathers reminded me of colorful leaves.

I popped the feathers/leaves up on the white embossed paper with Joy Large Foam Pads .

I added the striped Ribbon to give the appearance of tying the feathers/leaves together.

I stamped the sentiment using Sweet 'n Sassy Keep in Touch, Too stamp set. I used the Mandarin Curious  Metallic paper and the A2 Divine Eloquence dies to layer behind the sentiment.

For the final step to my card, I added Orange and Silver Rhinestones.

I am happy you came by today, and I hope you will join us for the challenge.

Happy Father's Day

Good morning, Shirley here to start off our Father's Day challenge week. With Father's Day just around the corner, I decided it was time to get busy making cards for the special men in our lives.

I started my card by stamping the main image from the JustRite Haberdashery Vintage Labels Five on Ivory card stock.  I colored the hats with brown markers and then sponged over the entire image with distress ink. Next I cut the layer to go behind the image.  I used the Spellbinders A2 Divine Eloquence with black card stock.

I stamped two hats also from the Haberdashery Vintage Labels Five stamp set.  I sponged over them with distress ink and cut them out.  I glued them to the main image using Art Institute Dries Clear Adhesive.

I cut a the main layer of paper using the Graphic 45 French Country paper pad.

Since this was a masculine card,  I did not want to add any frill, so I tied the black ribbon and attached it to my card as the finishing touch.

I hope my card has inspired you to get busy making your Father's Day cards.  I appreciate you coming by to take a peek at my card.  See you again soon.

Down By The Sea

It is Shirley posting today!  I am going to share a card with you that I made for the Red, White and Blue challenge this week.

I started off using the Graphic 45 By The Sea paper pad. I cut a banner and layered my image. I always like tilting an image. On the side I used a onion bag for the fish net.  You will see some seaweed (moss) added to the card along with some gauze from the first aid kit, that I used to decorate the card.

I used Impression Obsession Mini Nautical die set to cut the lighthouse, anchor, sea horse, fish and the wheel. The star fish and shells were cut with the Impression Obsession Mini Shell die set.  I used Art Institute Dries Clear Adhesive to attach these embellishments to the card.

I added ribbon at the bottom of the card with the gold anchors. I added gold stars to dress the card up a little. I had this little bottle and no sand. I added some spices to it so it would look like it had sand in it.

Thank you for looking at my card.
