No Place Like Home

Hello, Shirley here today posting another card with pretty blooms on it.  I received some Heartfelt Creation products this week and I couldn't wait to use them.

I started out using a sky color card base and added a layer of pink. Now the fun begins! I added the designer paper with the fence and flowers to build my card on.

I stamped my flowers and leaves in black ink using the Heartfelt Creations NEW Botanical Rose Stamps. I colored them with my markers and cut them out by hand. Beverly has some of the matching dies coming to the store soon. I used my stylus on them to give them some detail. I glued them together and placed a Joy Small  Foam Pads behind the flower and attached it to my card.

I used the Spellbinders Fancy Label Tags One die to cut my "No Place Like Home" sentiment from a scrap from the paper I used on my card. The same label die was used to  cut three more tags from the Sky card stock. I layered them behind the sentiment to give it a border and attached it to the card.

I used a hole punch and punched a hole for my May Arts Textured two tone Pink/White Ribbon to go through. Instead of tying a knot, I just twisted the ribbon and used adhesive to secure it. I place a self adhesive White Pearl over the top of it and added it to the tag. I also added a pearl to the flower center. I added some White Pearl Swirls from my stash going from the flower to the corner of the card. I stamped another flower, colored it and added it to the corner with a white pearl. *Note - if you go to the Classy Cards 'n Such online store, click on the Bling tab and you will find a section called Swirls, Brackets and More. There are Pearl Swirls in different colors.

The Beauty of Fall

Hello, Shirley posting today!  We had a wonderful Inspiration picture for this challenge.  I love the plaid blankets. I have a feeling we will be needing a lot of blankets this winter.

I saw my first wooly worm for the season yesterday. It was black. The "old timers" use to say that meant a bad winter. I hope they are wrong, but the Farmers Almanac says it will be a bad winter also.  I think I will be hibernating and making cards all winter long.

For my card today, I started out cutting the card base out of gold card stock. I cut a piece of brown card stock and a piece of plaid designer paper. I adhered those to the card base.

I stamped an image from the JustRite Botanical Medallions and Banners set on vanilla card stock. I really use this set a lot, as you have probably noticed, with this sunflower image being my favorite. I colored the image with Copic markers. I used the Spellbinders Floral Ovals die to cut the image out.

I stamped the banner and cut it out which is also from the JustRite Botanical Medallions and Banners. I used Joy Foam Pads to pop up the image, and attached it to my card.

I added three Snowflake Pearls  and a May Arts ribbon in Brown/Antique Gold bow. I used the Bow Easy to tie the ribbon. The ribbon is 1 1/2 inches wide, but I doubled it to make it look better on my card. I found this ribbon very easy to work with.

Happy Wedding Day

Hello everyone. It's Jenn and today I have a wedding card to share with you.
I started with a pre-made card base that measures 5.5 x 6.5. I created a rectangle and a square patterned paper layer using The Lake House collection. 

On top of the patterned paper layers, I added a strip of Textured Two-tone Ribbon in Pink/White by May Arts.

Using pink cardstock and the French Pastry Doily Die, I cut out a pink doily and stamped my sentiment in the middle.

For the perfect finishing touch I cut out an off white

Labels Eighteen and mounted a Pink Floral Silhouette on it.

Waiting for Christmas

Good morning!  Steph here with an adorable Christmas stamp from Stampavie. It's called Waiting for Christmas. The cat looks adorable perched on the ornament checking out that unsuspecting mouse below. I stamped the image on Cryogen white cardstock then colored it with Copic markers.

I created a 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" square card using Stardream Jupiter Metallic Cardstock which is a beautiful shimmery and great quality cardstock. Using papers from Bo Bunny Mistletoe Collection, I cut the chevron paper 5" x 5", and lightly inked the edges with brown ink. The green dot paper was then used for a little contrast, inked with brown ink, and matted on a leftover strip of Stardream Jupiter Metallic Cardstock. I tied some May Arts ribbon around this piece before adhering it to the card front.

The image was cut to size, inked with brown ink and matted with brown cardstock and adhered to the card front with Joy Foam adhesives.

This cute stamp is perfect for upcoming Christmas cards, don't you think?

Azalea Ringed Circle Buckle

Hi everyone!  

I have a really fun and easy card for you today.   I've made several similar cards which can be used for just about any occasion.  Change out the colors or buckles and you have a completely different card!

I started with an ivory card base.  I usually match white and white, but this time, the ivory base just struck me!  :-)  I used the A2 Matting Basics A and A2 Matting Basics B to cut the pink and white mats.  The Matting Basics by Spellbinders make life so much easier for me when it comes to cutting mats!   They are always straight and have the exact borders that you want whether it's 1/8", 1/4" or multiples of one or the other!

The pink mat, Ringed Circle Buckle and Small Butterfly are all cut from Stardream Fuse Azalea cardstock.  I added white baby pearls to the center of the butterfly.

There are three buckle styles to choose from in the Classy Cards shop and you can see them all by clicking here.  You could always get extra use from the buckles by using them as a focal point or accent with a flower in the center!  

The white mat is from the beautiful Butterflies cardstock!

I cut a short length of Rose/Pink May Arts ribbon and wove it through the buckle and adhered the ends to the back of the Azalea mat.  I added a couple of glue dots under the buckle with ribbon to keep it a little flatter.  This ribbon style has several gorgeous colors to choose from!  You can see all of the ribbon in the Classy Cards shop by clicking here.

I added a Happy Birthday Rubz using a stylus from the Paper Blossoms Paper Tool Kit.  These are so quick and easy to apply and no mess!!!

I made a frame for the card front using gold lines stickers.  These have the look of gold embossing and I think it is just the perfect way to take your card to the next level.

Remain in Me

Hello Everyone! It's Jennipher and I am most delighted to be back designing for Classy Cards 'n Such! I had such a blast last time I couldn't resist coming back. 

My card today is 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 square. I started with a base of pale pink cardstock. Then I added a sheet of designer paper from the Glitz Designs Pretty In Pink Collection. It has such a lovely musical background with just a hint of pink in it. I distressed the edges of my paper and then sponged on Spun Sugar Distress Ink. 

Before adhering that layer to the pale pink base I added a strip of May Arts Textured Two Tone Ribbon in Fuchsia/Pink across the top. 

I used my Spellbinders Labels Eighteen largest die to cut out a matching flower border stamp for the Scripture I planned to use. I colored in the tiny flowers with Copic Markers. I just love how they are making coordinating stamps to work with these Spellbinders Dies. It's so much fun! I also used the Spun Sugar Distress Ink around the die cut edges.

For finishing touches I found the perfect shade of a pink/fuchsia flower in the Flowershop De Soie Collection by Prima. I added that to the lower right corner of my card.

A Glittery Butterfly from Holly

It's Holly posting today.  Have you played in the latest challenge - Glitter?  I love glitter!  There are many beautiful colors in the Classy Cards 'n Such store, and I bought every single one of them!  LOL   On this card, I kept it clean and simple and just used one color of glitter - Crystal Ice.  This is gorgeous on white cardstock, and it's sheer enough that you can use it on colored cardstock as well.

For this card, I used the following products:

Crystal Ice glitter

Flower Flourish embossing folder

Celebrate stamp set (Stampavie)

Lacey Circles (Spellbinders)

Exotic Butterfly Small #2 (Cheery Lynn Designs)

Angel Wing, Small #2 (Cheery Lynn Designs)

May Arts Textured Ribbon - Light Blue/White

Joy Foam Pads Small

I cut out the butterfly from white cardstock and used the Glitter Roll technique from Technique Junkies to adhere the Crystal Ice glitter.  The matching angel wing was cut from blue cardstock and adhered to the white butterfly.  I cut out a circle from white cardstock and stamped the sentiment with blue ink at the bottom of the circle.  I adhered that to a Lacey Circle that was cut from blue cardstock.  

The background is embossed with the Flower Flourish embossing folder and I folded a strip of the gorgeous ribbon over the top before adhering it to a blue card base.  I cut the end of the ribbon in a fishtail look, and I adhered the circles over the ribbon with some Joy foam pads.  I used some more foam pads to adhere the butterfly above the sentiment.  I purposely placed the butterfly at an angle so it looks like it is in flight.  :-)

Musical Friend

It's Holly posting today and I've got a romantic and musical card to share with you. First, the products from Classy Cards 'n Such are:

I cut some dark brown cardstock to 4.25" x 11" and folded it in half to make a card that is 4.25" x 5.5". Some musical paper from the Pretty in Pink paper pad was cut to 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" and adhered to the brown card base. The doily is cut from the Stardream Fuse Azalea cardstock - a gorgeous shimmery mauve-y color. I had already used the top third of this doily on another card, and this is what was left. I cut a circle from vanilla cardstock and another, smaller, circle from the rose paper (also from the Pretty in Pink paper pad), then adhered these to the center of the doily. I cut off what was sticking out from the edge and adhered the doily to the musical paper. 


I tied the gorgeous ribbon around the card, moving the knotted end to the left side. I stamped the "Friend" sentiment with brown ink onto vanilla cardstock and used scissors to trim it into a tag shape. I punched a tiny hole at the top and threaded some linen thread through the hole and tied it around the knot of the blue ribbon. Lastly, I adhered the butterfly to the top of the knot.

What an elegant card!   Any friend should be pleased to be the recipient!!

God is My Hero

Hello everyone! It's Jennipher and I'm finally back with a card for Classy Cards 'n Such. It's been quite awhile!

Today's card was inspired by a challenge to make a card for your hero. Well, I don't know about you but, I'm constantly calling on God to get me out of a jam or to help me deal with the latest test in my life. 


So, it only seemed fitting to use the "Footprints in the Sand" poem on my card.  I started with a base of Cocoa cardstock. I added a distressed layer of French Kiss patterned paper by Glitz Designs. To the distressed edges I added Pumice Stone distress ink. On top of the patterned paper is a strip of Parrot Green/Yellow ribbon. For a finishing touch I added a Ceylon Attic flower by Prima (still available in Garden & White Wedding).
