Little Gold Angels

Hi, Diane with you today.  Our challenge theme this week is angels.  I used a cream card stock for my base card.  I added a layer of Super Gold Metallic card stock with a snowflake embossed layer on top of that.

Two trees were cut from Impression Obsession Fir Trees. I slightly used a brown ink around the edges. I decorated the trees with Memory Box A Choir of Angels using the same Gold Metallic paper I mentioned above. I also added snow to the trees by using a Marvey Uchida Snow Marker which is currently on backorder.

To finish the card, two deer were die cut using Impression Obsession Small Deer.  I inked around the edges of these as well.

I have to say I wish you could see this card in real life.  It is extremely difficult for me to capture the beauty of a lighter card, I think Santa needs to bring me new photo software and camera!

Thank you for visiting with me today!

Trim The Tree

Hello, Diane with you today. This week our challenge is all about ornaments.  There are so many beautiful ornament dies to choose from.  Trust me, I know as I own several and what a hard choice to decide which one I wanted to use.

I ended up choosing this beautiful and intricate Memory Box Corby Ornament.  It was cut from a coordinations green glitter paper.  I cut it a second time using red for the cardinal.

This ornament die has a separate back you can purchase
if interested, Memory Box Drop Ornament.  It fits perfectly for the back layer.  I used Pearlized Esse White Metallic paper for the ornament backing.

The ornament was attached to an Impression Obsession Pine Branch.  I added a Snow Marker to the branch.
As you can see, I got a little carried away with the snow!

The snowflake paper behind the ornament was cut using a die from Sue Wilson Greek Island Collection Kefalonia.
I know it is difficult to see in the photo, but this was then embossed with Quilt Blocks by Darice.

I added an embossed under panel on red card stock
and a pretty red bow to finish it off.

Thank you for visiting with me today!

Friends

Hi, Diane with you today. This week our challenge theme is Squirrel-y Friends. We were to make a friend card, with the option of adding a squirrel/bird.

I stamped a sentiment from JustRite Seeds of Summer stamp set, thinking it was a perfect friendship message.
I used two of the six dies from the Sue Wilson Kefalonia Greek Collection, popping the outer edge up.

The branch is Impression Obsession Pine Branch. After adding a few branches from Memory Box Meadowbird Branch, I used a Snow Marker to add puffs of snow. I am sure you have seen me use this before. If you are not familiar with it, you just dab it on, heat it with a heat gun and it puffs up, adding snowy dimension.

I also added a bird from the same Meadowbird Branch set. Here is a closeup of the bird.

To finish I cut a birdhouse from Impression Obsession Birdhouse set, and a squirrel from Impression Obsession Squirrel set.

A few gold sequins were added to finish. Make your own sequins using the Sequins die listed below. There are also Foil papers in the CCNS store, so make a bunch in any color you want!!

Season's Greetings

Hello, Diane with you today. This week our challenge is Holly Days. With this theme we are to use Holly and/or a Poinsettia on our project.

Obviously I went with a Poinsettia. I started with an embossed background using a Poinsettia EB folder on 3/4 of the card. The top panel of the card I used Spellbinders A2 Curved Borders Three on ivory card stock.

I cut a few Impression Obsession Pine Branch and added snow using a Snow Marker. If you are not sure what that is, it is a marker that is liquid, you put it on where you want, then heat set it and it magically becomes puffs of snow!

Next, I made a beautiful Poinsettia using Spellbinders
Layered Poinsettia. I added a chunky glitter to the leaves
and a few "borrowed" Prills from my friend staying with me, for the center!

I have to say this is one of the easiest Poinsettias to make and so beautiful, too!!
