Merry Christmas

Hi, Diane with you today!

I have been enjoying making my Christmas cards this year. So many beautiful dies and stamps to work with. The only problem is choosing which ones!

I saw this brand  new, just released stamp set from JustRite, called Multi-Step Poinsettia and knew it would be fun to work with!

The set comes with a number beside each stamp, making it easy for you to stamp by number, basically allowing you a fool proof layering of stamps.

I stamped myself a template of sorts first, as I wanted to make sure when I stamped it on card stock, I had it in the proper arrangement of top of the flower and the bottom. Now I can just look at my sample and know which is up and which is down I hope this makes sense, but I just didn't want to stamp the base and then have my flower upside down.

I stamped the Poinsettia in two different colors of reds, and the leaves and veins in two colors of greens. A Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen was used to give a bit of sparkle to the flower veins.

The background paper is from Authentique Believe 6" x 6" paper pad.

I die cut the pattern you see on white card stock using the Memory Box Distressed Windham Collage die.

The sentiment is from the same Poinsettia set, stamped in VersaMark, then embossed with Ranger Embossing Tinsel.

A bit of sparkle was added with Silver Rock Candy.

Thank you for visiting with me today!

Seeds of Today

I love sunflower seeds, along with all the birds and squirrels in my yard.

Mindy here, with a card that is bright and sunny, and corresponds with our challenge this week at Classy Cards 'n Such blog.

I tried a fun technique I saw demonstrated on YouTube, where you can use an edging die over and over to make an interesting and different background for your card background.

I then stamped the Sunflower Stem Pre-Cut Set from Heartfelt Creations on white stock, colored and shaded it with various markers, then fussy cut around the flower and several of the sunflower seeds for my focal image.

To give the card a little more texture, I added a length of Ivory cotton Cluny Lace across the bottom of the card. Using Joy! Large Foam Pads, attached the flower, along with the sentiment from the set, and a tiny squirrel from the Squirrel Set by Impression Obsession.
To finish my card, I added a little bling with Silver Rock Candy from Queen and Co. for dimension.

Have a wonderful week, and be sure to join us for our weekly card challenge. It is so much fun, and you could win a wonderful prize if your card is selected.

Ho Ho Sparkle

Good morning to you, Diane with you today on the blog.

I don't know about you, but it seems the holidays are certainly creeping up on us! From Thanksgiving on, I am super busy, and like to get my Christmas cards made way in advance if I can!

One of my newest dies purchased from the Classy Cards 'n Such online store, is one of the new Memory Box Distressed dies. This one is called Distressed Snowdrift Collage. Look at all the pretty and intricate details. A tiny White Pearl was added to each full snowflake.

I stamped an image from Stampavie called Tobi's Dearest Deer, and colored it with my Tim Holtz Distressed Water Color Markers. A bit of Diamond Stickles was added to the image.

Once dry, I popped the image up using Joy! Large Foam Pads. To finish, I added a Ribbon, a tag tied with Doodle Twine from the Sweet Cakes Valentine Assortment, and a snowflake button that I topped with Silver Rock Candy.

Thank you for visiting with me today!

Happy 100th!

Hi, it's Jenny posting today, with an inspiration card for the 100th Classy Cards 'n Such Challenge!

This card was pretty simple to put together, but with the metallic elements it really makes a statement. I was inspired by the beautiful pink balloons in the inspiration photo.

I began with an A2 top folded card, and then cut a piece of Kraft card stock a little smaller for the bottom layer.

I added three banners cut from a die in my stash, using different pinks from the Graphic 45 Botanical Tea paper pad. The two larger banners were adhered using Joy! Crafts Large Foam Pads for dimension. The smallest banner was just glued on top.

The butterfly is from Impression Obsession Open Scroll Butterfly die. I used silver Frantage embossing powder to get the mottled metallic look. I also used the Frantage embossing powder on the word Happy, cut from Impression Obsession's Greeting Set.

Last, I added a bit of Silver Rock Candy for a little bling.

I hope you like the result and will join the fun this week with our 100th Challenge!
