Birthday Wishes

Hello, it's Jenny posting today.  I created this card because I was inspired by some cards I found on Pinterest.  It's such a fun site and Classy Cards 'n Such has it's own Pinterest boards.  Come and check us out HERE!

The only stamp I used on this card was the Impression Obsession Wooden Plank Cover-A-Card. I stamped it using vintage photo distress ink and then sponged weathered wood distress ink over the entire background.  The entire panel was glued to a piece of Kraft card stock and then mounted onto a white card. 

The Memory Box Trellis Border die was also colored with antique linen and gray distress inks.

The pink flowers were cut using the Spellbinders Rose Creations die, but you could get a similar look using the gorgeous new Heartfelt Creations Arianna Blooms die, Classy Cards now has in stock. The flowers were cut from white card stock. The edges were colored with pink distress ink and misted with Tattered Angels Pearl Glimmer Mist. While still damp, I piled the flower layers together and then scrunched them up being careful not to break the petals.  Scrunching gives them a more tattered, vintage feel.  I waited until they dried and then glued the layers together.  I used about four flower petals pieces per flower.  They were popped up using Joy! Foam pads for extra dimension.

The Bamboo Shoots were cut out of Wausau Index Green Card Stock and colored with peeled paint distress ink.  The Joy Crafts! Bille's Branches were cut from white card stock and colored with Shaded Lilac distress ink.

The Birthday Wishes sentiment dies are from an Impression Obsession word set. You could use the Impression Obsession Greeting Set which also has the Birthday Wishes sentiment and more! The entire panel was then glued to a piece of Kraft card stock and then mounted onto a white card.

I sponged pink  distress ink on the Memory Box Whimsy Circle, and antique linen distress ink on the Memory Box Quinn Flourish die cut, and glued them to the card before positioning and gluing the flowers, Bille's Flourish Branch and Bamboo Shoots die cuts.
