I started with a white card base. I cut a layer of blue paper as the next layer. It is from the Graphic 45 French Country.
I
took another layer of white, and used an embossing folder by Anna
Griffin called Matelasse.
I used a circle die to cut a circle from the
main white embossed layer. I put a piece of Graphic 45 French Country
paper behind the circle, and used the scalloped circle die to cut a black decorative edge for it. The butterfly was made using the Memory Box Willoughby Butterfly Wings.
The border was cut using a Our Daily Bread Design Beautiful Borders die. I layered it with white, blue and black.
For the finishing touch I added Silver Rhinestones to the butterfly and the border.

This is such a stunning card - I really like the touch of blue with the white - and especially like the gorgeous colors for the butterfly and the border. Thanks for sharing - and you may see a CASE along the way!
Wow, Shirley, this card is BURSTING with texture - even the papers you used suggest a lot of texture, above and beyond the wonderful embossing folder !! Love the dies you used to make such a pretty landing site for your butterfly!! FANTASTIC card with all these awesome things combined - great layout!! Way to go!!
