Color Burst Ornament

Good Morning, Friends.  It is Shirley posting for today. I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving yesterday. I think I got my fill of turkey, sweet potatoes and pumpkin pie.

I have made an unusual card to share with you today. This is the first orange and purple Christmas card I have ever made, but I must say I like it. Okay, what do you think?

I started with a white card base.  I cut a piece of white and used Ken Oliver Color Bursts in Orange, Ultramarine Blue and Violet for the next layer. The color bursts are really easy to use. I just sprinkle and spritz. There are many tutorials on You Tube that will show you step by step how to use them.

I then cut a top layer and used the Spellbinders A2 Curved Borders One to cut the open space so the color burst would show.

I used the Memory Box Lydia Ornament die with white card stock and placed a piece of the Color Burst paper that I had left over to layer behind the ornament.  I cut a piece of silver card stock to make the hanger for the ornament.   Next I used some orange ribbon for the bow.

I used the Impression Obsession Christmas Sentiments and chose the  Season's Greetings stamp to use on the bottom of my card.  I used Silver Detail embossing powder to emboss the sentiment.

Thank you for stopping by today and we hope to see you here again soon.  If you're out there doing Black Friday shopping, be careful and I hope you find lots of bargains. Have a wonderful weekend.

Wow, such a totally different look with these colors, but it kind of looks the way a brightly lit tree would look, when viewing it "out of focus" - I LIKE IT TOO!! Very cool!! That is certainly a neat way to change up a card and give it new insight!
