Sweet Hope

Good day everyone! It's Gracie. I'm glad to have the chance to share with you a card I made with some lovely new items from Classy Cards 'n Such online store.

I started out by stamping the sweet Feeding Birds stamp from Wild Rose Studio, with Memento ink in Tuxedo Black on White Pearl Linen. I colored the image with Spectrum Noir Markers. Then I die cut the colored image with Spellbinders Elegant Ovals, and stenciled it with Distress Ink in Spun Sugar.

I also framed it with a larger oval from the same set, that I die cut from Graciellie Design digital patterned paper printed on White Pearl Linen. I crossed two pieces of ribbon vertically and horizontally, through and over the ovals, respectively, and mounted them on a large frame die cut from Stardream Rose Quartz with Spellbinders A2 Filigree Delight.

To finish the design I added a butterfly, die cut with Joy Crafts Vintage Flourishes Butterfly and a little tag, die cut with Spellbinders Fancy Label Tags One, both cut from deep lilac metallic card stock. I folded the butterfly in half and adhered it to the edge of the colored image.

I heat embossed a sentiment on the little tag, a sentiment from Flourishes' stamp set Zinnia with White Detail embossing powder on the little tag. Finally I tied a double bow and added some Baby Rhinestones - Silver.

I must confess I have a weakness for Wild Rose Studio stamps, and I loved coloring this image! I invite you to check out the rest of their stamp sets on the store... You'll love them too!

Baptism Blessings

Hi, it's Jenny posting!  I wanted to make a frilly card for a friend's daughter's baptism and this is what I designed.

I originally just made the card using the Spellbinders Floral Oval dies, but I decided to back the whole die on white A2 sized card stock so it would be easier to display.

The only opening in this card is the central Floral Oval.  I used an A2 size top-fold card with the Spellbinders Floral Oval die, making sure to push the die up a bit higher than the top of the card stock, so the top wouldn't be cut all the way.  This way I still had a card with a folded uncut edge and not just a die-cut.  I then cut the Spellbinders Floral Oval a second time, out of a single piece of white card stock, and glued this piece to the front of the folding oval, to mask the fact that the top of the other card was not a complete cut.

I used the smaller oval in the set to create the top oval which I popped up using Joy! Foam Pads.  I cut the cross from a Spellbinders die (that Beverly can special order from the CCNS store). I used the cross as a stencil and colored it with distress ink.

The inside of the card is stamped with a blessings sentiment and flat-backed white pearls were added to the front for extra interest.  This was a really quick card to create. Thanks for stopping by!

Lovely Calcutta Flower

Shirley here, with a card for Classy Cards 'n Such!  I am loving the Calcutta Mini Porcelane Flowers and I am using one of them again today.

I embossed my pink card stock first.  I then used the Classic Scalloped Ovals Large dies to cut the scallop trim.

Next I used the Spellbinders A2 Divine Eloquence dies.  I added the Calcutta Mini Porcelane Flower to the center of my card.

I stamped Prayers from the Justrite Botanical Medallions and Banners on  Simple Stories Vintage Bliss paper.  I used an oval punch to punch the sentiment. I cut another oval from white card stock, cut it in half to make the layer for the sentiment. I attached my pink card stock to a white card. I added White Pearls to the oval and the main frames of the card for the finishing touch.

It's Looking Like Fall

Good morning! Joy here today.  We are not yet seeing fall leaves, but pumpkins are out at the store and everyone seems to be getting ready for it.  At Classy Cards 'n Such, the challenge for this week is for fall trees, leaves or plants.  Here is my card!

I colored these to look like fall mums.  I embossed the flowers and banner from the stamp set by JustRite, called Botanical Medallions and Banners, while the butterfly is from Black-Eyed Susan Vintage Labels Five by JustRite.  The embossed background is an Anna Griffin folder called Rose Pavillion.

I heat embossed the images using Sparkle 'n Sprinkle White Detail embossing powder on Vellum, and colored with Tim Holtz Distress Markers, fussy cut them out, then popped up the images with Joy Foam Pads. Sequins were added to the flower centers and a few scattered on the embossed card stock.

I hope your days are getting cooler and fall colors will soon be in your area.

Thanks for looking at my card. Have a happy stamping day!

Autumnal Inspiration

Hello! It's Gracie and today, I want to share what I made for this week's challenge. I enjoyed using earthy tones and lots of texture to make my card. It is truly an Autumn inspired creation.

I used mostly Spellbinders dies to make this card. First I die cut a bunch of leaves with Bitty Blossoms, from different cardstocks, which included Echo Bronze Stardream Metallic. I colored a couple of leaves with Yellow Gold Inka Gold. Also, I die cut some pine leaves with Poppy Stamps' Pine Garland.

Next I die cut an oval with Elegant Oval from Echo Bronze Stardream Metallic, and a smaller label with Fancy Label Tags One. I heat embossed a sentiment from Our Daily Bread Designs Faith stamp set, in Gold detail on the smaller label. I mounted the labels and added all the leaves to one side, framing the sentiment.

I did leave a space between both tags so I could run through a piece of ribbon. But before adhering it all to the card base, I added a piece of tan burlap ribbon, that gives lots of texture to the design. I die cut the card base using A2 Matting Basics A. I finished the card with two Baby Rhinestones - Silver.

I hope you liked my card! Remember that the supplies used are available at Classy Cards 'n Such. Click on the links to be directed to the store. Use the code Gracie-10 during checkout, and you'll get a 10% discount!
