Hi, it's Mindy today! I
was playing with a few bits and scraps left on my desk from this week's
card making, and decided to use some of the pieces, laying around to
make a Christmas card.
I got this new Bow and Bell die,
and my first pass through the die cut machine left attached sections.
Of course, after I practiced a little, the detailed bits just flicked
right out with the help of the Tool 'n One by
Spellbinders. The die on the card had some pieces still firmly
attached, so I glued it on a sheet of Neenah white card stock, and
colored in the blank areas with my Tim Holtz Distress Markers and a Tim Holtz Water Brush.
I used a Kraft colored card base, and layered a rectangle of Echo Bronze Stardream Metallic paper, and
then my pre-printed Christmas paper scrap for the background. The Bow and Bell die cut and the Season's Greetings adhered on top.
I had a left over pieces of Eternal Swirls- White Pearls, that added just a touch of bling to the card.
I then fussy cut around the Bow and Bell, and attached it using Joy! Foam Pads to the front of the card.
I
try to keep an eye on my scrap bin as I create cards. If I make
a card with the scraps as I go, by the time Christmas comes around,
maybe I will have enough hand-made cards to send, without having to
spend days mass producing holiday cards!

This card is so pretty. It almost looks quilted by filling in the background with the Tim Holtz markers.
